Amps For Christ led by Henry Barnes features guitarist and electronics members from the defunct“Power-Violence” unit Man Is the Bastard as well as founding members of Bastard Noise (many AFC releases also feature MITB percussionist Connell on drums though here his place is taken by the mysterious Togarama as well as custom built electronic rhythm machinery by Enid Snarb). Named after the the unique and powerful custom made amplifiers as well as electronic and acoustic instruments built by Barnes (some used to this day by Bastard Noise member Wood giving that unit their unique sound), AFC takes a direction of exploring the interface between traditional folk and caveman electronics. Sleeve is hand pressed on pre-WWII machinery with color booklet containing schematics and diagrams explaining how to build your own AFC devices as well as detailed liner notes with artwork by Barnes himself.
